I'm sitting here with a bare CentOS7 that I'm ready to install Centova Auto DJ system and after almost 2 hours, OK I read slow I still haven't found any info about best practice server config past the basic requirements of database server either local or available. What I don't find and I think we should expect more since they're asking for a bare server for installation I would think you'd offer simple recommendation. I have 3 usable IPs for the radio server and if I setup the IPs Centova docs state that installation will chose best IP, OK that's an easy question but I asked to make a point. Firewall, web, ftp, php(which version is best option or incomparable).

  What did you do prior to Centova Install

well since on one replied to my question this is what I did to install my new server.

Installed Ubuntu18.04 bare server
Installed Apache2
Installed MariaDB server
installed fail2ban
installed CentovaCast

Hope this help anyone who has a question about who to set up a new server

were using ubuntu only....debian is also working without problem....with centos there where some problems, but i dont remember anymore what was it. I think there was an error with some liquidsoap packages. dont now if it fixed by centova
