After several tests, we conclude that it is impossible to use the version 3.
A panel cute, and easy upload to own panel, are the only good news.
A good improvement because of the automatic installation, but still has errors in the installation of some items, such as package Icecast.
But do not inlude dear friend, because these are the innovations and improvements.
Moreover, nothing works perfectly.
It is now awaiting a correction for retesting, as it stands, is impossible to continue.
We want the function of scheduling is able to work with sc_trans2, and a tool that is capable of doing the programming of the audios to folders, according to the characteristic "of each song, previously registered by following a few parameters, and thus, this tool According to the parameters selected, do the assembly programming for the folders of playlists, without having to drag the audios for each folder created. How about that?
Please answer this post and to join me in this campaigning.
Sorry about some gaps in translation
I think it has a lot to do with the way you are installing -- I tried with pre-installed software, cpanel, all had problems. My last installation was using a clean VPS with only Centos 5 -- no Apache, no Proftp -- nothing -- I followed the installation instructions for a full install and have not had any major problems -- my scheduling works fine, I did find a few problems I was able to correct, or bypass.
- when syncing the library, sometimes it would display a mysql error, about the last.fm album cover option. this would also cause the server to stop responding, I had to restart Centova. I disabled last.fm and the problem seems to be gone
- I have not been able to get the flash players to work at all -- although they did in one of my earlier installations
- the SHOUTcast dnas for v1 -- the url is stuck on
www.icecast.com -- also the station is not listed in the SHOUTcast directory at all
- active listeners does not work (unless I run /etc/init.d/centovacast reload -- reloads)
- ftp server seems to go down often, server reboot is the only solution
These are all very minor issues and I'm sure they will be addressed. I really don't think Centova has spent 2 years developing this just to give up, and the best part is, updates are very easy to install.
Although I am only running a single account right now, the load on the server is clearly much lower than Centova Cast v2 -- this may be because of the fact I am not running cPanel/WHM.
I am days away from offering v3 for sale to my clients -- the built in Flash players eat up system resources and bandwidth anyway.
I think a lot of the problems are not problems at all, just the fact we do not yet have any docs on V3 yet -- I think many of the answers are in the Centova configs -- several in the folder /usr/local/centovacast/etc
I have had my demo station
http://2k22day.com running on the new V3 for a few days with no issues
