File Location and Preview in Playlist Manager

Read 4303 times
Hello,

Is it possible to implement the following feature:
When you are at Media Library and select a playlist from the left, then songs inside that playlist show in the right area.
Is it possible to include the location of the file (maybe in a right-click context menu)?

Also it could be really useful to have to ability to preview the file also. (Now it's only possible to do it when viewing the entire Music Library and not a specific playlist.) So someone who is re-arranging a playlist could listen to files that is not familiar with.

Thanks,
John
1. They are located in the /media folder
2. If you right click a song, you can "Listen to Preview"

Thank you for the reply.

1. I have over 2000 songs and my playlists are managed by 4 different people. I am aware that are located under the /media folder but we have organized our songs further into folders under /media directory. So, many times it's needed to delete a specific song entirely from our library and we know that exists in ex:Morning playlist. It is difficult to search the file via FTP so it would be really useful if we could see the exact location of the file via the Media Library.

2. It is possible if Media Library is selected and not a specific playlist. If I select a specific playlist the right click is not working.
Yes I know that. I am suggesting to expand this feature to be available also when viewing a specific playlist.

One reason for that is : When I want to re-organize a playlist with 300 songs I cannot possible remember all those songs.
So I could mark the name of each song.
Go back at the general view of the media library.
Search for this song.
Preview it.
Then go back at my playlist.
Find the song and decide if I want to remove it or not.

But the above process takes a lot of time if you want to repeat it 20 - 30 times.
Sorry, I had misread your second post -- yes I see what your saying, you could just open a second tab for listening -- and as long as you keep your files synced with your desktop, Filezilla & WSFTP both have a search option.
