I am wondering what sort of capacity and scaling others are experiencing with Icecast and Centova cast on a server?

Obviously this depends on the server you are using and the concurrent streams and slots but if anyone has any idea of what they expect to get, with a reasonably up to date server (and roughly what spec) it will give me some idea of what I can expect myself. At the moment I dont know what to expect you see.

Of course some of the settings hint at a massive impact on processing such as changing the mp3 compression and it also depends on the stream compression speeds but there must be some experiences out there that will give me some rough idea.

That's not an easy question to answer.

It would be better if you posted what you are trying to do and people can tell you if they have done it.
