Installation with --icecast-all on Ubuntu 16.04 fails - ia32-libs doesn't exist

Read 9068 times
I'm trying to install Centova Cast on Ubuntu 16.04 - the current long-term support version - but it fails because the ia32-libs package is not installed. This package has been deprecated for over 4 years and isn't available in 16.04 at all.

If I run the plain installer with no params, it seems to be OK, and it also works if I use --icecast and --liquidsoap, but it fails with --icecast-all, so something else in there must have a hard dependency on an obsolete package.

I can get by without for now, but this could really do with fixing.
Hello Synchro,

I'm afraid that Ubuntu is not currently one of the supported Linux distributions, the likely cause for this issue is because the installer identifies your environment as an unknown Debian based distribution.

If you'd like to request support for Ubuntu trusty, you can do so at the feature requests forum.

Regards.
The ia32-libs package was removed from Debian in 2013, so that doesn't work either: https://packages.qa.debian.org/i/ia32-libs.html

I've posted a request for modern OS support.

(BTW the captcha in this forum always fails on the first attempt)
Hello Synchro,

If you were to use a modern version of Centos or Debian, our installer will automatically detect this and adjust the dependencies accordingly, it just doesn't play well with unsupported distributions such as Ubuntu.
try this on 16.04, we have centova installed on 10+ ubuntu 16 servers, apt-get install libc6:i386 libstdc++6:i386
