IceCast can instantly and automatically switch between the autoDJ and a live DJ whenever a live DJ connects or disconnects.

In Shoutcast we have to manually stop dj and start encoding from the pc. There is any way like ice cast we able to start encoding from pc without auto dj stopping from admin panel ?

Icecast and SHOUTcast 2.x switches automatically.. SHOUTcast 1.9 can only be done manually..

So if you are using SHOUTcast 1.9, I would say, switch over to SHOUTcast 2.x
