Shoutcast have just released an updated version of the version 2 DNAS featuring a number of new features, improvements and stability fixes. A link to this new release is available below alternatively a notification is available in the DNAS with more information.

I've removed the links from your post.  There is no new official Shoutcast version.

Maybe you've got your hands on some test build, that is meant to see if certain problems are fixed or if some new features are working, but I don't think Shoutcast's developers are ready to share it with everyone, otherwise they would have done it themselves.

How do we upgrade?

In the release notes it says that Centova should make some changes in order for this release to work.

The changes required in Centova Cast for the new Shoutcast version had already been implemented, they just weren't released yet (a big thanks to the Shoutcast guys, who gave us a heads up about this new version, a couple of months prior to the actual release)

Our developers just need to finish another major feature they've been working on, before releasing the new Centova Cast version, that will also support Shoutcast 2.4.7

would be handy if the release notes could refer to 2.4.7+ rather than 2.5+ (as we obviously changed things between emails being sent and what has since been released).

Updated to Centovacast 3.2.0 today but it is still Shoutcast 2.4.2.167
