hello,

i have just install v3 on a brand new cent os 5 server. the install went fine but the browser times out before i can open the panel to complete the setup, any ideas what i could do to try to conquer this?

Most likely your firewall it's blocking port 2199, either that or some other process is using that port. Also make sure that Centova Cast control processes are running, try /etc/init.d/centovacast restart.

That's all I can think of for now.

It won't be another process using that port, but Roger's other two suggestions are correct and it's almost certainly one of them.  Either you've got 2199 firewalled, or the CCv3 web interface isn't running.
