FTP Conflicts

Hello,

I am going to finally start using my Beta license. I'm very much looking forward to the stable release. For now though, some testing, and familiarizing myself with the changes are in order.

I do have a question about cPanel. I see on the very last bullet point of http://forums.centova.com/index.php?topic=453.0 that it is NOT recommend to run cPanel alongside of Centova v3.

However, I plan to use cPanel minimally for myself, no clients. So I'm wondering if I can get away with it. Which way will the FTP conflict fail? cPanel users? Or Centova users? Or both? Should I select Pro or Pure FTP when doing so?

Thanks!
Or, possibly disable FTP entirely through WHM >> Service Configuration >> FTP Server Selection. Would that work?

The article you linked to describes the nature of the conflict in detail.

Whichever one starts first will "win".

If you're running a separate FTP server for your other control panel, it doesn't matter.  If you're using v2.x integration, you'd have to use Pure-FTPd.  If you're disabling your CPanel FTP server, then it's irrelevant. :)
