ID3 Tag Editor

Read 16582 times
Hello everybody,

Does any know a way to edit the id3 tags of the mp3 files on the server directly?

It's very important because centova takes the info from these tags, and in most cases the tags are wrong and i need the info to generate reports that I have to send.

The one way is changing the tags in local, and then upload the file again and use "Perform Full library update". But this process is very complex when you have 10.000 files!

It could be a third part program to run in ssh or anything.

Thanks for tour help!

Regards!
You can either install a tag editing program on your server (such as the "id3v2" commandline utility, available thru Debian apt and probably other Linux distros' package repositories) or you can use the method described in other posts here on the forum to just edit the Centova Cast metadata for the affected tracks.
