Interrupting a playlist

Hey Steve.

I know this is unsupported by default but this is a major feature to have for stations that play's shows of over 1 or 2 hours.

I was wondering, is there ANY way i can edit something somewhere and get a scheduled playlist to interrupt whatever is on air?

Example: what if i want a 2 hour show to be replayed every now and then in a designated playlist (General) but the file started playing lets say at 1:00PM but at 2:00PM i have a scheduled playlist waiting. to wait untill 3PM for that playlist to kick in is a bit impossible lol, it requires me to either go for a pc software based solution or to Micromanage my playlists to have a perfect synchronise over the week days and hours and minuetes...both options sucks...and the solution would be a feature to interrupt whatever is playing...:)

Hope i didn't hammered you with this one...i just need to know if its possible..in any way.
if you're using sc_trans as the autodj, until that is updated to support immediate playlist events then using sc_trans will not be able to do that (and so in this case is a sc_trans issue and not something Centova would really be able to do anything about). no idea about the other autodj aspects supported if using something else.

Hey m8..

i use icescc...one of them must allow that i can just assume that when developing these they thought of this very necessary feature..
i've no experience with icescc so i don't know if that supports instant event transitions or not - only replied as what you are talking about often comes up from people trying to use sc_trans. maybe someone who knows more about icescc will be able to give you a definitive answer.

No, nobody seems to have thought of this feature.  Not supported by ices either.
