Hi guys, I know this is a bit off topic but I am trying to find someone who has had experience with Icecast listener authentication.

I have added the <mount> code as specified in the listener authentication instructions for URL authentication in the Icecast online manual to the icecast account I am testing against.

But I am still not being challenged for a uid and password if I click on one of the player options that Centova Cast offers up on the account's start page.

What should I expect? should there be a pop up uid and password challenge? I am trying to play a stream using iTunes but have attempted a range of other players with no response from any of them.

If I could get a better understanding of what to expect to happen then at least I might be nearer to working out what the actual problem is.
