It is quite common to offer many different bitrate streams depending on how the user is listening. Mobile device, web browser...etc. However since all the data is stored and tracked as different streams this poses a lot of issues and makes it difficult to manage.

You should setup a method of allowing many bitrates for a single audio stream so it can be consolidated together.
