Hi,
I have noticed that songs with same name even though the artist name and the duration of the songs are different, the file manager overwrites them instead of listing them as a new song.

Is this normal?  I am new to this and find it strange

No, if the artist name differs, that's definitely not normal.  If you're a Centova Cast licensee, please open a ticket with our helpdesk as we'd need to investigate on your server.  If you are the client of a hosting provider running Centova Cast, please ask them to open a ticket with us.
