Howdy all. Long time since Ive been in here. Thats a good thing!!!. Everything has been going well over here. We are moving to a larger server (we need the room for our podcasts). Luckily im staying with the same company and keeping the same IP.

Anyway....

Since we are sorta starting fresh I wanted to see what everyones thought on if I should continue to use SCtrans2 or if I should just start using liquidsoap.

anyone having issues with liquidsoap? (From what I understand its pretty awesome)
There are some issues with Liquidsoap, from what our customers report and what we were able to verify:
- it fails to work on non-standard bitrates like 144kbps for MP3
- it fails to play mono files
- the RAW configuration is non-existent as it's all hidden in Centova includes (not a big issue as very few people need raw config edit)
- it doesn't support v2 Shoutcast protocol

But, overall, it's better than sc_trans2 and more stable, I'd suggest using Liquidsoap instead of sc_trans2.

I moved back to sctrans2.
With Liquidsoap and the current version of centova i got many problems like: erros messages with mysql, sometimes auto dj was offline without any reason, no loading or eccess to centova frontend.
Only the change of the user account to sctrans2 was helpful to resolve some errors. But also sctrans2 made problems.
Its a question of try and error currently.
