Hi - I’m wondering whether there is any special command needed to make Liquidsoap automatically transcode mixed-bitrate mp3s to the stream format?  I’m hoping that the answer is no, and that Liquidsoap simply takes this in its stride...

Liquidsoap will always transcode your media files, even when it's not required (e.g: even when your tracks are already encoded at the correct bitrate)
