Hi

I need to change our station name that will be displayed from Gold247 to Laser558. I have made the change under Stream title: in the settings tab and restarted my server but it still shows the old name. I have been told you can't do this and I have to create a completely new account to change the name? This does not appear to be a good way around this. We have built up a following and I can't afford to change stream details but we have been forced to change the station name. Can someone please confirm if and how this can be done?

You only need to delete and recreate the account if you want to change the username, it seems you are just wanting to change the stream title?

If SHOUTcast v2 you must edit your YP Hash
If SHOUTcast v1 you must goto settings > auto dj > encoder and you will see the stream title
If Icecast goto settings > stream title is on the first tab

Remember to restart with each change

note -- with SHOUTcast v1 and v2 there are two places that are for stream title, not sure why but it causes confusion and should be corrected
