I am a DJ, and I create a weekly mixshow/podcast for an online radio station who is using Centova, and they have been recently having problems with my mp3 files. I encode them at 128kbps stereo using my Mixmeister software. Other DJ's on her station use the same software and they don't seem to have a problem, although they may be using a PC and I'm using the Mac version of Mixmeister.
I have also tried encoding it to a WAV in Mixmeister, and then using iTunes to convert it to a 128kbps mp3 file. It seems to be hit or miss, but what happens when she uploads it to their Centova server is it shows up in the console as a 56kbps file at twice the length of the original file, 2 hours instead of 1 hour.
Per the Centova Knowledge Base, I used a program called MP3Test to check the validity of the file, and it says the file has no errors.
So, I'm at a loss as to why this keeps happening. Does anyone have any recommendations how I can make sure my file works perfectly every time it is uploaded to the server?
