I've set up Shoutcast v2 with the sc_trans2 autoDJ, and when a live DJ connects, it takes nearly a whole minute to change over the stream to the live host.... Although Icecast never worked well for me, the switch between the two was always 15 seconds or less it seemed..... there's gotta be a way to speed that up, because it leaves a delay for everyone that's really inconvenient timewise for shows.



And also, totally unrelated, but I'm curious as I read somewhere on these forums that scheduled shows/playlists (strictly autoDJ) won't start because they can't set up to interrupt another song/track.... is there ever going to be a tool in the system to set a fade and switch for that?

Ask your host to check your buffer size for live sources. It's probably set too high for the bit rate youre using.
