I work for a sports team and we are in the process of creating an online radio station to host our games and content for the upcoming season (starting in September). We are renting server space and I have set up a test server to learn the ins and outs of Centova, Shoutcast and other elements.

I wanted to see if anyone had any tips about smooth entries and exits to your live broadcasts. I have configured the live DJ to my satisfaction with various playlists, etc however when I "cut in" for a live broadcast, it chops the feed and goes directly to my live feed, which is fine, but it is abrupt. When I'm done and I disconnect with the server, the AutoDJ kicks back in where it left off, again with a hard cut.

Any tips on making this transition smoother, ideally undetectable, for my listeners? And is there a way to see how much is remaining in the currently playing element? I am using Sam Broadcaster to cut in and out, but not as a 24-hour source, however have Winamp/DSP setup and configured.
