I tried to submit a pre sales ticket but I dont think it worked as I didnt get a email notification and the screen was blank after I submitted it.

You don't need to do anything to prep your server if that is what you mean, in fact, a fresh installation of Centos or debian latest stable is recommended.

Perhaps the only recommendation would be to verify that your package manager (i.e yum/apt) is in working order.
