iPanel Upgrade Manual

Upgrade Instructions

  1. To begin, back up your iPanel database using whatever tools have been made available by your web hosting provider (eg: phpMyAdmin). Do not perform an upgrade without backing up your database.

  2. Ideally, you should back up all of your existing iPanel files before proceeding as well in case anything goes wrong during the upgrade.

  3. Upload all the new iPanel files over your current iPanel installation. Make sure to preserve the directory structure.

  4. Launch your web browser and visit the following URL:

    http://www.yourdomain.com/ipanel_folder/install/upgrade.php

    Replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain, and ipanel_folder with the name of the folder in which you originally installed iPanel.

    The upgrader will prompt you for confirmation and perform the upgrade. Follow each step through to completion.

  5. After completing the web-based upgrade steps, delete the installation folder (/install) under your iPanel folder. It is important to remember to remove this for security reasons.

  6. Your upgraded iPanel installation should now be ready to use. Log in and enjoy the new functionality offered by this update.
