Suppressing metadata

Question:

Can I suppress the metadata (song titles and artist names) displayed in the client's media player?

Answer:

Yes. Login to your Centova Cast account and click Configuration->Settings. Then follow the instructions for your server type below.

SHOUTcast DNAS v1 and v2

1. Click the Overrides tab.

2. Replace the Stream title format with whatever you'd like to display in place of the artist and song name. Leave this blank to suppress it entirely.

3. Replace the Stream URL format with whatever you'd like to display in place of the stream URL. Leave this blank to suppress it entirely.

IceCast

If you are using IceCast as your streaming server:

1. Click the Mount Points tab.

2. Click on the mount point for which you want to suppress metadata.

3. Click the Setting Overrides sub-tab.

4. Set Metadata interval to 0.
