Title: Apperance to listeners
Post by: aatacoli on June 10, 2018, 06:01:56 pm
I just launched my station with no problems - now it is up and running and it was quite easy. However there are a few shortcomings with the way we are portrayed to those who visit:

1. Song titles have a suffix added to them (1QU + a 3rd letter). This is not in the original song / filename. I would prefer the songs to simply display the correct name when the listener sees them in the player.

2. I was assigned a URL for my account automatically when signing up and it is created from words I used, combined and truncated. Not only is this undesirable as a general practice but the chance combination is unattractive (Imagine if you were using a word that contained a swear and it was truncated to reveal the letter combination within). Ideally the admin can specify a url that they desire which fits the sites requirements OR one could forward a url form a domain they own i.e. radio.mywebsite.com

For # 1 you need to turn off song title codes:

Control Panel > Configuration > Auto DJ > Song Title Codes > Set to DISABLED
