You'll need to be more specific what you mean by it won't install.  Is it actually not installing or is it installing but is just unreachable from the browser?

Hello hellboundRKG,

Unfortunately, installing Centova Cast on Amazon EC2 does require some advanced settings.

For starters, you may want to provision your EC2 instance using RHEL, or Amazon Linux (which is RHEL based), other distributions such as Ubuntu can work, but it will be a little more difficult.

Another important issue would be the firewall configuration, since EC2 doesn't provide an open public IP address for their instances, you will need to enable server-wide self reference hostnames override, using your EC2 public IP address or domain name.

As for the firewall rules, the easiest way to setup the EC2 firewall would be to simply create a firewall policy allowing all traffic (inbound and outbound) to the instance, in the EC2 security policy manager.

With that said, if you'd like you can also selectively allow traffic though the necessary ports as per the following guide.
