Title: Error starting Centova V3 with two webradios
Post by: gutoeterno on September 21, 2012, 06:21:20 pm
Please help me out.
Being a BETA version no technical support even for those who bought the license (which is my case).

So I come to you who are my only outlet, I have a server with Centos Centovacast V3 installed.

I bought two licenses of Winamp for $ 5 each, for now to pass EACH webradio or radio station must have this license to unlock the MP3, a farce this, but as people increasingly seek more money, we have nad what make the not be paid.

So I do not know if only one license SHOUTcaster Basic Broadcaster License Key fits all webradios and radio stations that have.

I have 80 radio stations and 12 more stations webradios, what I wanted was to use the same name as the MP3 unlock code unlock MP3, because this way I saved money and my money too.

But I can not seem to, every radio or webradio has to have its separate license, well, I bought another license SHOUTcaster Basic Broadcaster License Key and the begotten of such Hasch in the Shoutcast Admin V2 of each radio.

But when I start the webradio radio station and the Centova simply goes down, kill the apache http service, only back when I restart the server.

If I let the air only webradio works just fine, but if I start the radio station also then crashes the centovacast.

Tell me, is this BUG system? Well, I bought another key SHOUTcaster Basic Broadcaster License Key and the begotten of such Hasch for each and yet when I try to start both the centovacast completely out of the air.

Thank you friends and all help is welcome!!

If I need you guys to step access data centovacast my own and you can see what happens.

Simply the apache http server goes down when you start webradio and radio station.

And they are with different name and code, since bought two licenses SHOUTcaster Basic Broadcaster License Key

Indeed it's a farce, but it's nothing to do with Centova Cast, and you can't even really fault the Nullsoft guys for this -- they're just covering the cost of licensing the MP3 patents so they don't get sued.

So I do not know if only one license SHOUTcaster Basic Broadcaster License Key fits all webradios and radio stations that have.
I don't think you can do that.  You'd want to contact Nullsoft to get a definitive answer, though -- they're the ones selling the licenses, not us (and the licenses are for use with their product, not ours).

But when I start the webradio radio station and the Centova simply goes down, kill the apache http service, only back when I restart the server.
Sorry but that simply does not make any sense at all.  Centova Cast v3 does run under Apache, nor does it have any relationship at all with Apache -- it uses its own built-in web server (based on nginx).  I am unaware of any way it could possibly terminate an Apache process cohabitating on your server.

If I let the air only webradio works just fine, but if I start the radio station also then crashes the centovacast.
I'm afraid I don't understand most of that sentence, but if you could define "crashing" that might be a helpful place to start.

the sc_trans unlock code / license is meant to be one license per station (that counts multiple streams under that station) however no one is going to know which license key you are using in which sc_trans instance for which station so there would be no way of knowing if you made an input error and happened to accidentally re-use the license from another one of your stations.

and yes it is a farce but alas the lawyers got involved (before i my) and what is now needed is the end result of someone twigging onto sc_trans not being licensed correctly (as earlier sc_trans builds didn't have the requirement).
