Effective immediately and by popular request, we have removed Google's reCAPTCHA service from our forums. While it began as an effective and easy-to-use CAPTCHA system, the visual complexity of Google's reCAPTCHA images seems to have dramatically increased over the past 6 months, and in many cases our users have reported being unable to decipher the images at all.
We hope that our newly-implemented, custom CAPTCHA system will better serve our users and make posting to the forums less troublesome.
