Title: Cron Job centovacast
Post by: pasquale on October 08, 2025, 12:02:34 am
:-[  Both on the main server with the regularly purchased program usage key and on the test server with the trial key, the installation of version 3.3 continues to give problems with the cron job. The most annoying thing is that you turn off autodj and the radio risks being silent. Is there a solution to the problem?? Is there any setting to activate?? Thank you. >:( >:(

Do you mean, autoDJ is stopping all the time, since versión 3.3.0? Same here, is Centovacast issue, 2 months waiting for a fix already...

And what's still to come? So, they updated Liquidsoap to V2 and didn't check that it's not compatible with CentovaCast, and two months after the release of version 3.3, they haven't been able to fix this serious problem.

I've contacted support several times, and the response is always the same: we have to wait.

This is now 4 months with no solution to this.

It is obvious that Centova did absolutely no work to integrate Liquidsoap v2 ahead and relied upon v1 until it was pulled from availability (maybe they knew v2 problem existed and did not wish to do the work so kept V1 until it was not available anymore?).

Leaving Centova no choice but to shove Liquidsoap V2 in having performed no compatibility work to update the panel to work with V2.

It does indeed appear Centova is dead - developers unable to fix this problem in 4 months is beyond a joke.

I wish they would simply employ skilled developers to get this panel modernised and updated or decide to kill the panel for good and allow hosts to migrate customers with a valid reason (panel termination).

Centovacast today is a software with many bugs, I encountered several problems in version 3.3.0. This problem of autoDJ interruption with liquidsoap 2.3.3 I was able to solve by installing AlmaLinux 9 on it my liquidsoap works without interruption, I tested it also on RockLinux 9 it also worked fine. In Debian it keeps crashing for no apparent reason, I tested it in Debian 11, 12 and 13 always with the same problem. Regarding the Cron Job, I was able to solve it by running this command in the terminal (su -s /bin/bash centovacast -c "/usr/local/centovacast/bin/ccmanage cronjob all") and restarting the operating system afterwards. Sometimes I had to do it more than once until I updated the data again.
