Title: CloudLinux
Post by: JustStreamWith.Us on January 12, 2015, 10:14:53 am
I currently have CentovaCast installed on a Debian system but see that is also supports "CentOS 5/6 (or equivalent RHEL release)." Does that include CloudLinux? I recently switched my shared hosting servers to CloudLinux and wouldn't mind doing the same with my streaming servers.

Thank you,
Chris

It should work just fine with minor adjustments, specifically, you'll need to disable CageFS for both the Centova Cast users.

That said, bare in mind that Centova Cast runs entirely under just a couple of users, thus negating the advanced administrative features of CL.

Thank you. For me it's just a matter of standardization. Perhaps I'd just be better having the streaming servers run CentOS or Scientific Linux.

I would stick with Centos 6, just because is officially supported and thus bug reporting/fixing will go faster if you ever run into one.
