Title: Pal Scripts
Post by: DJFire_CFR on May 05, 2013, 12:10:16 pm
Does Centova Cast hae the ability to be able to use Pal Scripts?

Maybe something to look into in future versions.

Would be really great.

do you mean a .PAL script like the one used by another boradcasting software to show the recently played tracks on tunein.com?

a similar feature request has been issued several months ago in this topic (http://forums.centova.com/index.php?topic=2207.0)... but centova developers seem not to be interested in its implementation  :(

Well, I am referring to .pal, however, its not just for displaying now playing and such as your post was about.   SAM broadcaster uses pal scripts for many many many different kinds of things, not just pulling the now playing from tunein.com website.

:D

yeah of course, but you know... regardless of tunein.com recently played tracks (a feature that increases station's visibility a lot) that would be a great feature  ;)

No, this is something that SpacialAudio has implemented for their products -- they've basically implemented a customized Pascal interpreter and tailored it to their products.  It's not something we can really support as there's no standard there... it's just something they came up with.
