Title: Configure failed for ices.tar.gz; aborting
Post by: LifeFM on October 26, 2012, 03:22:28 pm
Hi,

every update went smoothly before this one. at the latest update the installer exited with this:

---//----
checking dynamic linker characteristics... GNU/Linux ld.so
(cached) (cached) checking how to hardcode library paths into programs... immediate
appending configuration tag "F77" to libtool
checking for pkg-config... no
checking for shout-config... /usr/local/centovacast/icesbin/shout-config
./configure: line 21378: /usr/local/centovacast/icesbin/shout-config: No such file or directory
./configure: line 21378: test: =: unary operator expected
configure: error: Could not find a usable libshout
Configure failed for ices.tar.gz; aborting
Installer exited with error, aborting
---//-----

(libshout.a, .la, .so, .so.3 and .so.3.2.0 are present in /usr/local/centovacast/ices/lib)

thank you!

Hi LifeFM, i get the same error. I try a fresh install and the same.

If you look the error, the path is wrong "/usr/local/centovacast/icesbin/shout-config"

Could be "/usr/local/centovacast/ices/bin/shout-config"

The problem is in the "icesbin" but i don't know how to fix, because this is from UPDATE script, and fresh install.

Adrián.

Thank you, sr_smith for pointing out the spelling mistake

i just made a symbolic link from /usr/local/centovacast/icesbin to /usr/local/centovacast/ices/bin/ and everything worked like a charm.

LifeFM, thank for the tip. I forget the symbolic link. I will try that.

Thanks!!!

Thanks for the bug report!  This is now fixed; running /usr/local/centovacast/sbin/update will pull down the update.
