Title: Router Issue??
Post by: GaryTheHat on March 01, 2015, 02:37:11 am
Hi all, apologies for the question not relating to Centovacast but I was hoping to see if others have experienced this.

We have a 3 stream set up 96 AAC, 128 MP3 & 320 MP3. We have a fibre connection at the studio with a 40/10mb link through a BT router. The server is dedicated with a 1gbps switch and plenty of bandwidth.

So, run the 96 & 128 stream no issues at all, will run fine for days, turn the 320k stream on and it will run maybe a few days before all the streams start to buffer, reboot drop the 320 and its ok again. I know we have enough bandwidth & resources to have all these running so could it be router issues?? Would an upgrade to a more robust router sort this?

You should run WinMRT which will test all hops from your PC to your Stream Host.  Run it for 100 iterations and see which hops are losing packets.

You can get it here:
