I tried to upload files into media using ftp and I received message: access denied.
Its not upose to be:
host: IP
port: 21
user = account username
password: same as panel password?
any idea?

That should be right, providing you have the Centova FTP option installed (Which is done automatically on the Main server you install, but not on remote Daemon servers)
It is the Admin Password you need to use to login to the FTP account.
Are you saying it allows the login, then doesn't allow files to be uploaded?

I tried installing with cPanel, with WebAdmin -- both had problems, FTP wasn't working -- so I started with a fresh VPS with only Centovs 5, and it's running great -- still have minor problems like no flash players, listener page has problems, but all in all it's running great.

Good night
My dedicated server provider ( singlehop.com) found problem:
looks like cc-ftpd services on centova must run on port 21
my dedicated server has cpanel installed so cpanel ftpd services runs on port 21 aswell.
so, way to soy this porblem is:
change cpanel ftpd port ( chosse any)
after that run /etc/init.d/cc-ftpd start
now my cc-ftpd services works properly.
Note: first attempt was change cc-ftpd listen port but that wont fix problem, so in conclusion: centova ftpd services must run on port 21
Hope that helps
