Title: Custom hostnames instead of IP addresses in self-referencing links
Post by: Radiator on September 07, 2015, 06:55:52 am
I saw the Knowledge Base about.
But what i have to change outside Centova, means DNS and other?
Using Centova on vps, centos 6

Is there one who can explain it a bit more?

I want to change (for example) from
x.x.x.x:2199
to
stream.happyradio.com
result:
stream link: http://stream.happyradio.com:8000/stream

thanks

Hello Radiator,

In your case, create or change an A DNS record for stream.happyradio.com and point it towards your Centova Cast's IP address, you can usually do that on whatever panel the host where you bought the panel provides.

No, that part is actually fine, changing it like that will probably break all your links.
