Title: adding another server for bandwidth?
Post by: GroovinMind on January 31, 2014, 08:25:27 am
Hey guys. I might be getting another server and I wanted to know if it was possible that I can somehow connect (relay?) it to the server that centovacast is installed on and use it for additional bandwidth?

Hello GroovinMind,

Yes you can setup a new server, provision a station there and use it as relay, however you'll need an additional license.

Another option would be to simply move to a a new server with higher bandwidth allocation.

HTH.

Figured it out.  I cant necessarily Add the server to my current centovacast as an additional server to use its resources but I can just setup shoutcast on it and use it as a relay. I dont have to use install centovacast on it. Thats just silly and a waste of money.
