Title: Can not connect to stream
Post by: Museter on December 21, 2010, 03:42:22 am
Hello,

I just installed my centova cast sytem and my test stream says it is online and streaming.  My sam broadcaster is connected and encoding to the my stream port.  However, when I try to listen to the stream I am not able to listen.  I have tried flash players, win amp, real player, and quicktime.  Each one saying it can't connect to the the stream.  What could be wrong?  I can't seem to find an problems with anything anywhere.  Another thing  I noticed is that my stream is not showing up on shoutcast and I can't access  my shoutcast information page.  The browser says it could not connect.   It has nothing to do with my flash players or my mp3 files so don't even go there.  I am currently with another stream host that uses Centova cast and I can listen to my streams just fine.

Hope someone out there can help.

Dennis ???

You should look at the Shoutcast DNA's first, for more information.

So if your stream is at (for example):

http://sc3.shoutcaststreaming.us:8000

1- Is the server status reported as CURRENTLY UP AND PUBLIC ?  If so, post the link and we will take a look.

If not, then click on the Admin Login, on the top right.

Log in:

user: admin
password: ********

Click on Tail Logfile   ... look to see if there are any errors to the YP in shoutcast, or in general.
